As a member of our Human Resources team, this Generalist position is responsible developing and enhancing the employment experience at The BROADMOOR through exemplary support and guidance to employees throughout their tenure via a variety of employee relations functions. Offer guidance with employees’ questions, issues and concerns. Review hourly employee performance concerns and lead progressive disciplinary procedures as applicable, including involuntary termination procedures when appropriate. Coordinates and conducts hourly employee investigations. Conduct pre-employment background checks and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks. Ensure timely and accurate processing of screening results and communicate with leadership recommendations for hiring. Review and process appeals for rehire eligibility with communication from leadership. Reviews and processes unemployment claims. Assists with and/or lead unemployment hearings. Provide coaching and guidance to managers via phone and email on standard HR processes and policies. Assist with providing necessary HR Operation training in department, orientation or as needed. Assist with exit interviews for hourly/front-line staff, and review feedback. Compiles results and responds to concerns or themes with department managers in a timely manner. Maintains accurate employee records and HR documentation with discretion. Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies. Support day-to-day operations and special projects of the Human Resources Team. Other duties or projects assigned by the HR Manager, Director of Human Resources or VP of Human Resources. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required, BS or BA degree preferred Minimum 2-5 years\' experience in Human Resources Generalist or higher functioning role required. Experience conducting workplace investigations, interviewing and taking statements, report writing, and collecting information required. Prior experience supporting Customer Service employees required; prior Hospitality experience preferred.
