Position Title Workforce Management Analyst, Sr.
Location Onsite in Columbus OH
Role Contract to Hire
Rate $35-$38hr (benefits included, PTO not included)
Candidates US Citizens or GC Holders (no C2C or visa sponsorship)
Position Overview The Senior Workforce Management Analyst is responsible for providing critical data and insights to ensure staffing levels align with business demand. This role serves as the primary liaison between Workforce Management and key stakeholders, leading forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis initiatives. The Sr. Analyst will train leaders on workforce best practices, monitor KPIs, and identify trends or risk factors impacting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage workforce planning data and staffing files across multiple departments.
Serve as the first point of contact for workforce-related requests and reporting.
Monitor staffing KPIs, attrition, and headcount data, providing actionable recommendations.
Lead workforce management analytics projects and help scale data practices organization-wide.
Train leaders on WFM principles, reporting tools, and risk management best practices.
Forecast staffing and capacity needs up to two years in advance, collaborating with TA, Finance, Operations, and HR.
Maintain and enhance data models and file structures to improve reporting accuracy and accessibility.
Provide strategic insights and present findings to executive and departmental leadership.
Support succession planning, attrition goal setting, and risk quantification efforts.
Independently facilitate staffing meetings, providing subject matter expertise on workforce data.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, HR, or related field
Equivalent experience may be considered
Minimum Experience
5+ years of Workforce Management experience
5+ years of advanced Excel experience (managing large data sets, interlinked files, complex formulas)
3+ years of headcount and capacity planning experience
Hands‑on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools
Experience in succession planning, attrition modeling, and financial risk assessment
Proven ability to independently manage staffing meetings within complex organizational structures
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced Excel expertise (formulas, arrays, index/match, pivot tables, dashboards)
Data visualization and reporting for diverse audiences
Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
Deep understanding of workforce planning metrics and calculations
Experience identifying and mitigating staffing risk factors
Strong communication and presentation skills — able to influence and support stakeholders
High attention to detail and accuracy in data management
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and propose scalable solutions
Comfortable acting as a subject matter expert in workforce calls and planning sessions
