Overview
Workforce Analyst, Sr. (6-Month Contract | Onsite – Columbus, OH)
The Workforce Management Analyst, Sr. provides critical data and insights to ensure the organization maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet business demand. This role serves as a liaison between stakeholders, delivers training and guidance to managers on workforce risks, and monitors KPIs to identify and address variances from plan.
Responsibilities
Manage staffing files, reporting, and workforce meetings across multiple organizational groups.
Act as the first point of contact for workforce-related inquiries, monitoring attrition and staffing KPIs, and providing recommendations for future planning.
Lead WFM analytics projects and support the scaling of workforce management practices organization-wide.
Train leaders on best practices and provide strategic insights on workforce risk factors.
Forecast and plan staffing needs up to two years in advance; maintain and optimize data structures and file integrity.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and HR as a subject matter expert on workforce planning.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years in Workforce Management
5+ years of advanced Excel experience (large datasets, interconnected files, advanced formulas, arrays, INDEX/MATCH, pivots, visualization)
3+ years in Headcount & Capacity Planning
Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for data sourcing and visualization
Proven experience in Succession Planning, Attrition Goal Setting, and Workforce Risk Analysis
Financial acumen to quantify risk and forecast impacts
Experience managing staffing meetings and complex organizational structures
Skills & Attributes
Advanced Excel and data management expertise
Strong knowledge of workforce planning practices, headcount modeling, and attrition forecasting
Ability to create and present data visualizations for diverse audiences
Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Confident communicator capable of leading staffing discussions and providing actionable insights
Skilled in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and proposing data-driven solutions
