Assistant Superintendent - Multi-Family

A respected, locally rooted General Contractor is seeking a motivated
Assistant Superintendent
to support their high-performing field team on multi-family projects.
In this role, you’ll work alongside the Project Superintendent across all phases of construction—pre‑con to closeout—helping drive safety, scheduling, and quality on‑site.

Assistant Superintendent Responsibilities
Assist with site mobilization, logistics planning, and temporary infrastructure setup
Review plans and specs to identify coordination issues or value engineering opportunities
Attend pre‑construction and design meetings with owners, architects, and consultants
Help develop and maintain project schedules and site logistics plans
Lead subcontractor onboarding and safety orientation meetings
Support daily field operations with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity
Maintain detailed daily logs, track manpower, weather, deliveries, and jobsite activities
Assist with RFIs, subcontractor change orders, and monthly billing reviews
Review submittals and coordinate material procurement to meet project milestones
Help manage project punch list execution and support the close‑out process
Supervise field crews and foster a collaborative, respectful site culture
Assistant Superintendent Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience in multi‑family construction (wood/metal framing, earthwork, concrete, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and drawings
OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid & CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain—training provided)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and integrity
Practical problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
