Base pay range $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled
Support Technician
to provide advanced end-to-end technical support for end-user hardware, software, and application service requests. This will be a long-term contract position in Austin, Texas worked primarily onsite. This role is ideal for someone experienced in desktop infrastructure support who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment transitioning toward a managed desktop infrastructure model.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver advanced and escalated technical support for end-user systems and applications.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for desktop systems.
Log, triage, and resolve service tickets with accurate documentation and prioritization.
Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including account management and group policies.
Perform enterprise desktop installations and updates via managed services.
Support Microsoft desktop applications such as Office and Internet Explorer.
Set up and maintain A/V equipment for meetings and conferences.
Assist with Exchange calendar administration and conference room scheduling.
Monitor service desk queues and system alerts; escalated issues as needed.
Document and test technical processes, creating and maintaining knowledge base content.
Participate in ongoing training and pursue relevant technical certifications.
Minimum Qualifications
4–7 years
providing professional technical customer service and desktop support.
4–7 years
installing and maintaining desktop hardware and software.
4–7 years
using support software to schedule, document, and close work orders.
1 year
troubleshooting computer and printer issues.
2 years
supporting and maintaining A/V equipment.
Availability for on-call, after-hours support as scheduled (approximately one week per quarter).
Valid Texas Class C Driver License
and ability to travel between work locations.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years
advanced system administration for Apple/Mac and Microsoft devices.
2+ years
experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.
1+ year
holding or pursuing a computer certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, MCP).
