Position Overview We’re looking for an
Account Manager
with strong expertise in account management or other client‑facing roles to help continue our growth in North America. You’ll join the North America sales team whose mission is to drive revenue growth, focusing on existing book of business through upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
Secure 100% client retention through successful renewals.
Increase revenues through upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
Ensure client satisfaction and long‑term growth with Akur8.
Own a revenue target that directly contributes to North America and company objectives.
Typical tasks include:
Act as primary point of contact for named accounts and establish relationships with key decision makers.
Drive renewals and retention, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long‑term success.
Lead upsell and cross‑sell opportunities to maximize account value, including full sales cycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and signature.
Develop a deep understanding of client needs and collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding support.
Monitor key account health indicators to mitigate risks and prevent churn.
Maintain accurate records of account activities using CRM tools and report on customer insights.
Qualifications Educational / Professional Experience
4+ years of professional experience in account management, partnerships, or consulting.
Experience in a high‑growth B2B technology company.
Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Hard Skills
Track record of hitting and achieving quota.
Proven experience managing client relationships.
Experience in handling contract negotiations.
Ability to build an effective and actionable account business strategy.
Familiarity with sales protocols and SaaS company processes, use of CRMs, Slack communication, and multi‑team interactions.
Comfort working with technical teams and navigating a global company.
Soft Skills
Empathetic, humble, and trustworthy.
Capacity for detailed analysis and converging to actionable plans.
Adaptable and comfortable dealing with multiple and constantly new topics.
Language Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
Bonus Skills / Experience
Experience working at a SaaS company.
Technical fluency on cloud architecture, API, integration, and IT project delivery.
Insurance industry experience.
Location Employment status must allow work from our New‑York office.
