Essential Functions
Business Planning & Account Leadership – use digital tools and data insights to develop strategy, allocate resources, and maximize sales performance.
Selling – deliver clear, compelling messages, probe needs, handle objections, and close calls.
Customer Development – build and maintain productive internal and external relationships.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – gather and validate market trends, map account linkages, and prioritize opportunities.
Reimbursement – stay informed on payer dynamics and address access issues (IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance – adhere to Lundbeck policies, FDA regulations, and promotional guidelines.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor of Arts or Sciences from an accredited institution.
2–5 years in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales.
High performance on disease and product training exams; annual product knowledge certification.
Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
Problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify solutions and overcome obstacles.
Technical proficiency and data analysis skills for goal development.
Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Compliance with reasonable industry‑standard credentialing of healthcare providers.
Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Experience selling to general practitioners (GPs) and primary care centers.
Experience promoting CNS/neuroscience products.
Experience working with alliance partners (co‑promotions).
Travel
Willingness/ability to travel 30–40% domestically, attending 4–8 conferences/meetings annually.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $108,000 to $125,000.
Sales incentive target: $39,000.
