We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our team. This role involves managing front‑desk and switchboard responsibilities, operating an automated call‑distribution system, greeting visitors, ensuring proper sign‑in procedures, issuing badges, and coordinating deliveries and visitor logs. The base hourly rate is $18.00–$20.00.
Responsibilities
- Use the RMS system to locate consumer information and direct calls to the appropriate collector or supervisor.
- Track daily FedEx and UPS deliveries and distribute per company policy.
- Maintain high security standards at the front desk at all times.
- Perform administrative tasks and assist with special projects using MS Office applications.
- Manage temporary badge log, ensure timely returns, and coordinate with IT to deactivate unreturned badges.
- Ensure visitor register is fully completed, including arrival/departure times, name, address, and visit purpose.
- Greet and screen visitors, determine purpose, and notify relevant personnel.
- Screen calls for the President and COO, forwarding to the Executive Assistant.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One year of minimum experience in a similar receptionist, call center, or front‑desk role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage calls with clear, concise, and professional communication.
- Adherence to established building security protocols for visitors and employees.
- Effective engagement with office staff, clients, and visitors both in person and over the phone.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable navigating computer systems.
- Ability to communicate in a common language verbally and/or in writing.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
- Ability to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule.
- Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence.
Physical Qualifications
- Lifting five pounds or greater.
- Sitting 90% of the workday at times.
- Bending at the waist and being mobile when needed.
- Concentrating and using critical thinking.
