ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inside Sales Representative sells construction materials like sand, gravel, and crushed stone to businesses in the construction, landscaping, and infrastructure industries, often using phone and email from an office setting. This position works closely with Territory Manager’s, Market Analyst, Plant Managers, Materials Performance (Quality), Order Takers and Credit Collections personnel. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Pro-Active Selling – Proactively identifies potential customers and assesses their needs to match them with appropriate aggregate products. Accountable for defined customer segments with detailed budgets and objectives. Builds and maintains relationships with existing and prospective clients, often through phone and email. Sales Administration – Presents product offerings, negotiating pricing, and securing sales contracts. Responsible for small project quotation, systematic prices, quote setup, maintaining price lists/ item pricing, and error resolution prior to invoice. Generates customer communications (annual price letters, new customer welcome, holiday greetings, hours of operation), Responds to general inquiries (ie. products, sources, pricing, end-use/application assistance), Procures of tax exempt certificates Territory Manager Support - Assists with Customer inquiries, complaint resolution, quote entry, credit and collections coordination Prepare data needed in sales budgets, sales reports and market analysis Review of sales transactions for accuracy and error resolution Enters data and contact information into Salesforce Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school or GED; some college preferred or 3 plus years of sales experience. Additional Education Preferred: Associates Degree. Field of Study Preferred: Business related field. Required Technical Skills: Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. SAP experience and Sales-force a plus. Proven ability to achieve sales targets, drive grow and actively manage a customer base Demonstrable strong problem solving skills Highly organized, detail oriented, thorough and accurate Works effectively under pressure, with the ability to multitask Demonstrable understanding of industry knowledge (construction materials) This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employees may have the work schedule adjusted on short notice. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment, including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests WHAT WE OFFER
