The Shipping and Receiving Specialist plays a key role in warehouse operations by managing the flow of materials and finished goods. This position is responsible for accurate receiving, inventory tracking, quality inspections, packaging, and shipment of parts and products. The role also supports general warehouse and office tasks as needed to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming parts and products, verify accuracy, and update inventory records. Conduct basic inspections and quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials. Prepare, package, and ship finished goods and components per company and customer requirements. Ensure all shipments are packed securely to prevent damage in transit. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move products throughout the facility. Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with company quality and traceability standards. Support inventory control by organizing warehouse storage areas and participating in cycle counts. Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace. Participate in team projects and contribute to a positive, respectful work culture. Perform additional tasks or assist other departments as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or assembly work preferred. Forklift certification or ability to complete forklift training required. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Basic computer and documentation skills. Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Frequent bending, stooping, and use of hand tools and power tools. Manual dexterity for handling both small components and larger items.
