Overview The Candidate will report directly to the General Manager with oversight by the CFO. The candidate will provide support to both senior and executive management on a broad range of accounting, financial, and tactical issues which impact Acme. The Candidate will be primarily responsible for monthly financial and managerial reporting, tooling tracking and billing, ensuring inventory is accurate and updated, issuing weekly payments, and overseeing two accounting staff. The Candidate must have strong knowledge of financial and cost accounting, a solid understanding of enterprise/accounting systems and have an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. Key Responsibilities Preparing the monthly financial and managerial statements including an analytical summary Preparing monthly reconciliations and closing entries Overseeing the two accounting staff performing billing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll Performing variance analyses Overseeing, developing, and ensuring compliance accounting procedures and internal controls Providing support, completing special projects and providing ad-hoc reports to management upon request Coordinating and overseeing inventory to ensure accuracy, including the coordination of semi-annual physical inventories Maintaining product routers, standard costs and pricing - based on the quotation accepted by customer with metal cost / price updated quarterly Maintaining the fixed asset system - Bassets eDepreciation Learning and becoming a training resource for the Odyssey ERP Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel Five to seven years of relevant experience, manufacturing strongly preferred Excellent communication skills to work with factory floor personnel through senior management Ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish Detail oriented, deadline-driven and self-motivated Experience working in a Lean organization or other continuous improvement environment highly desired Experience with fixed asset and/or report writing software desired (Bassets/Crystal Reports a plus)
