V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a ServiceNow Engineer for our premier client in the Chicagoland area.
Education And Experience
Expertise in ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM, SAM), ITOM and Discovery. Required ITIL foundations certification. CIS ServiceNow certification is a plus. CSA and CAD ServiceNow certification is required.
Strong understanding of IT Asset Management principles and best practices.
Manage and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in ServiceNow components : Business rules, Script Includes, UI actions, Scheduled jobs, client scripts, UI Policies, UI Pages, UI Macros, ACLs, workflows, inbound / outbound emails, data source integrations, transform maps, REST / SOAP Integrations, etc.
Administer ServiceNow and provide Level 2 support.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to negotiate in a non-confrontational manner, deliver clear, well-structured and concise arguments to support your opinion, using facts, pros / cons and business justifications.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance priorities and juggle multiple tasks at once. Ability to work independently.
Strong desire and clear understanding for high customer satisfaction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with third-party plug-ins that offer cost-effective business solutions.
Strong analytical, process management, organizational, presentation, interpersonal, leadership, project management and technical skills.
Ability to train others in ServiceNow processes and tools.
This position requires occasional work outside of normal business hours.
Looking for an ambitious candidate, with at least 5-7 years of experience in configuration, custom scripting and development of ServiceNow platform modules.
HS Diploma and 4 years related experience; bachelor's degree in computer science strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in ServiceNow configuration & administration with strong understanding of ServiceNow integration solutions including : SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, SFTP, and MID servers.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
The incumbent shall develop custom ServiceNow solutions, troubleshoot platform issues, perform root cause analysis, recommend and implement corrective action.
What You’ll Do Job Responsibilities
Looking for a ServiceNow Engineer with extensive experience in the ITSM, ITOM and ITAM modules.
Responsibilities include design, development and maintenance of the client's ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM instance, including core setup, service catalog, workflow administration, reporting, service mapping, discovery, common service data model (CSDM), custom discovery patterns, agent client collector, REST / SOAP and APIs, data imports, and third-party software integration.
The IT Service Management department strives to deliver top‑notch customer service centered around the ServiceNow ITSM Self Service Portal.
Core modules in use include Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Knowledge, Change, Release, Asset Management, ITOM and Configuration Management.
This would be a great role for a talented ServiceNow Engineer to own and build a strong ServiceNow Engineering discipline while assessing opportunities to best utilize and optimize the platform.
