Overview
Senior Director, Salesforce Retail Industry Lead. Slalom is seeking a senior industry leader responsible for creating and owning the overall vision, strategy, prioritization, and client offerings for the Retail & Consumer Goods practice, including sub-sectors such as alcohol and beverage, household goods, beauty, apparel, and personal care. You are experienced in negotiating complex Salesforce deals, cultivating key relationships within Slalom and Salesforce, and attracting and growing industry-specific talent. You are recognized as a strategic thought leader with the ability to build high-performing teams and provide solution expertise leveraging extensive client experience in the Salesforce ecosystem. What You’ll Do
Accountability for the industry practice, including establishing our point of view and strategic growth plan. Responsible for delivery quality, sales, recruiting, consulting, and all operational aspects. Drive overall growth of the Salesforce Retail & Consumer Goods practice through business development, talent management, delivery oversight, and thought leadership. Maximize team performance and productivity; elevate job satisfaction. Manage engagement risk, project economics (planning and budgeting for industry cloud engagements), and define deliverables with client buy-in from top management levels. Ensure the practice achieves utilization targets; leverage executive leadership and subject-matter expertise. Oversee profitability and revenue targets for direct-influenced sales within the Salesforce Retail & Consumer Goods practice. Identify, create, and drive Salesforce offerings relevant to Retail & Consumer Goods to grow revenue and pipeline. Provide oversight and governance of all sold and managed projects through leadership and best-practice governance. Drive business development with the right information, tools, and subject-matter expertise; partner with industry sellers. Build and develop relationships with local market teams, align on sales pursuits, resource capacity, and cross-market awareness. Develop relationships with Salesforce executives and field sales teams; own account planning and key pursuits. Support the creation of case studies and industry-specific content; ideate with industry leaders to scale opportunities and grow teams and markets. What You’ll Bring
10+ years of Retail & Consumer Goods services expertise and team leadership in a large consulting environment. Knowledge of Salesforce products in the RCG space, including Commerce, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Data Cloud. Experience in sales, account management, delivery, and consulting; passion for Retail & Consumer Goods and technology. Strong relationships with Salesforce and/or Retail & Consumer Goods clients. Ability to partner with clients to understand organizational needs and recommend value-adding solutions. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; adept at aligning teams to common goals; strong people management. Budget and project management experience; coaching and mentoring in a sales leadership capacity. Excellent collaboration and team-building skills; strong process orientation; ability to work with virtual teams. Experience building relationships with CXOs and business decision makers; skilled at leading teams through complex technology solution sales. Creative and innovative; visionary in approach; excellent verbal and written communication and business operations skills. Able to travel up to 50% if needed. About Us
