The Work
You’ll coordinate with municipal permitting and regulatory agencies to prepare, present, and secure required project approvals, ensuring compliance with all submission requirements and adherence to execution timelines.
You’ll advocate for Client or Institutional interests in meetings with municipal authorities and other regulatory bodies, representing projects through all planning and permitting stages.
You’ll review architectural plans and design documents to support Program and Project Directors, ensuring consistency with Client or Institutional design standards.
You’ll lead code compliance and constructability reviews for the architectural discipline, while coordinating interdisciplinary plan reviews with Civil, Structural, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical teams.
You’ll develop planning models and architectural program requirements that reflect departmental needs, institutional goals, and long‑term strategic priorities.
You’ll identify and resolve technical and planning conflicts, recommending cost‑effective and practical design and construction solutions.
You’ll prepare clear and concise presentations that distill complex project issues into actionable options to support informed decision‑making and timely authorizations.
You’ll manage and evaluate the performance and quality of work produced by both internal teams and external consultants, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and University or Institutional standards.
You’ll develop and oversee project budgets, including construction costs, consultant fees, furnishings, equipment, and operational expenses, while managing consultant selection and contract processes.
You’ll ensure that all projects in the planning phase meet approved budgets, schedules, and institutional objectives, maintaining effective communication among architects, consultants, committees, and operations groups.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
With all our roles, there is some in‑person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
$125,000 - $145,000 a year
Here’s What You’ll Need
Minimum 7 years' experience in planning and design
Minimum 7 years' experience using cloud‑based construction management software solutions to manage projects.
Bonus Points If You Have
Architectural license
Masters degree in architecture
