CO Licensed Practice Nurse (Institute for Clinical and Translational Research)

We are seeking a
CO Licensed Practice Nurse . The CO Licensed Practice Nurse will offer friendly, courteous and confidential assistance to each participant to ensure a positive experience at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. They display responsible behaviors, communicate effectively, and work as a member of the healthcare team under direct supervision of the charge nurse and report to the Nurse Manager.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Collect patient information and assessment data.
Obtain and record patient’s vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight & height in EPIC and complete study source documents.
Perform EKGs, blood collection, IV insertions & hang IV fluids and IV piggyback medications.
Administer oral medications, subcutaneous, intramuscular or intradermal injections.
Perform lab tasks: packaging, manual urine & pregnancy testing, glucose, hemoccult and urine collection.
Document observations and findings in accordance with established protocols on time.
Report problems to the study team.
Perform study‑specific procedures, interviews, data collection.
Monitor patient status and report abnormal findings or changes in condition to study team and record on appropriate documentation forms in a timely manner.
Participate in skills development and training through in‑service programs and computer‑based training modules.
Special knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Courteous communication skills
Technical qualifications or specialized certifications
Ability to use a keyboard and computer.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with licensure as an LPN.
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Maryland.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a research setting or at least one year of experience working in an acute care, skilled nursing or long‑term care facility.
