As the Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities Director (MSAC) Director for Military Communications Systems, you will lead strategy development, technology development, and new business capture for a variety of communication missions. Working within Lockheed Martin Space, this position reports to the MSAC Director of Military and Strategic Communications within the GSA/GC3 Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities Deputy (MSAC) Organization (Global Situational Awareness/Global Command, Control and Communications). What does this role look like?

This position is aligned to the National Security Space (NSS) Line of Business (LOB), and works across the Global Communications and Navigation (GCN) Mission Segment to drive new competitiveness into all-orbit communication solutions. It also works closely with Strategic Communications missions aligned to Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) and the Intelligence Community (IC) and partners with LM International on allied communications. In this strategic role the chosen leader will oversee the development and implementation of mission-based strategy, capture, products, solutions, technologies, and new business sales pipelines. Accountability to shape and win new business (including re‑compete and task order expansions) through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and the corporation’s best interests. Oversees technology development through Government CRAD and LM IRAD to position LM for best value short‑term and long‑term mission‑focused solutions. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuits; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; manages bid and proposal activities. Leads and integrates the assigned cross‑functional team and directs team activities for the duration of the pursuit. Maintains ongoing interaction with business development and is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Desired Skills

Experience with communications systems, including space or ground applications. Executive presence and engagement, including management of executives or leader‑of‑leaders roles. Ability to maintain strong customer relationships and establish new ones to drive growth. Experience developing investment strategies. Familiarity with customer community domestically and abroad, spanning a variety of communication systems, and understanding of key customer priorities and constraints. Assessment of new opportunities and markets, assisting in disposition of opportunities based on LM Space strategy and probability of win. Oversight of budgets with emphasis on prioritization of spending based on strategic alignment. Demonstrated cross‑organization collaboration with new business results; experience leading in complex environments. Other Important Information

Annual base salary range in major metropolitan areas: $180,000–$345,000.
