CN Guidance and Counseling Services, Inc . Job Definition: Charged with clinical managerial and administrative responsibilities to ensure that staff meets the standards and requirements of the Agency and appropriate funding and regulatory bodies. Responsibilities

Delivers services of as follows:

Gather sufficient information for each client to make a diagnostic assessment necessary to determine assignment priorities and treatment plan or referral to the treatment resources in the community. Implement appropriate crisis services when needed to prevent further decompensation. Share information about the Agency and its services in order to help clients and other interested citizens participate in treatment decisions, set appropriate goals and better understand the functions of the center. Help clients to become effective consumers of mental health and substance use services through information sharing, empowerment and transcendence of the stigma associated with those services. Maintain client stability through a planned ongoing treatment relationship or assesses and helps implement changes in client functioning when indicated. Regularly assess with assigned clinicians and supervise the progress of clients\' treatment and is open to recommendations for improvement. Assist clients in developing appropriate expectations from treatment. Assist the client in understanding the need for cooperation with fee and insurance responsibilities by helping the client understand and resolve psychological and financial obstacles to payment. Strengthen the ability of the client to understand and utilize therapy and find resources after treatment has ended through proper discharge planning and termination process. Establish and maintains appropriate professional files demonstrating to the Agency, funding and licensing authorities\' appropriate therapeutic intervention with each client.

Participates in all required internal and external meetings that appropriately represent the needs of the clients, staff and the Agency. Utilizes and understands the value of supervision which increases practice skills, promotes better service for the clients and preserves accountability to the Agency. Provides supervision of clinical staff and students: guidance and training in techniques of diagnosis, assessment and treatment intervention; oversight of compliance with standards of the Agency in providing patient care and meeting accountability requirements; oversight of the productivity and the degree to which they meet all the relevant specifications of their job description, including, but not limited to the care of high-risk clients. Assists in overseeing the training needs of the staff through input into planning, staff meetings, management meetings, extramural training experiences and written communication to staff. Represents the Agency by serving on designated internal or external committees or at meetings, reporting back on outcomes. When needed, plans and implements public relations projects designed to promote the availability of the Agency to clients needing service. Participates in planning for the needs of the community and the Agency with the rest of the administrative and clinical management team. Support the use of data in clinical supervision to inform decision-making. Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals. Encourage quality improvement processes and provide consistent resources for QI and professional development. Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines. Health and Safety Awareness: Include any relevant knowledge or experience regarding health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Other duties as assigned. Educational Requirements

Master\'s Degree in Social Work or Master\'s in Mental Health Counseling required. New York State licensure as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Master Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor preferred. Experience Required

Five years of post-graduate clinical work in relevant settings including some supervisory experience. Benefits
