leading healthcare and pharmaceutical organization
seeking an experienced
Import Compliance Specialist
to join their
U.S. Supply Chain Operations
team.
This
hybrid role
plays a key part in ensuring import shipments are
processed efficiently, accurately classified, and fully compliant
with
U.S. Customs and FDA regulations .
Key Responsibilities
Manage import shipments
and ensure full
compliance with U.S. Customs and FDA requirements
Coordinate documentation and clearance
with customs brokers and freight forwarders
Verify HTS codes and import tariff classifications
for accuracy and compliance
Represent
U.S. Logistics
in import and tariff-related project meetings
Monitor first sale declaration
documentation and maintain compliance files
Track and report import KPIs, including shipment timelines and cost accuracy
Collaborate across internal departments and external logistics partners to
resolve delays or issues
Maintain
audit‑ready documentation
and support compliance reviews as needed
Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of experience
in
supply chain, logistics, or customs brokerage
Direct experience with U.S. Customs Brokerage
required
Strong knowledge of
HTS codes ,
tariff application , and
customs regulations
Experience working with
freight forwarders
and
global logistics partners
Exposure to
FDA‑regulated imports
preferred
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel
and reporting tools
Excellent
communication ,
organization , and
time management
skills
Proven ability to
manage multiple priorities
in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment
Hybrid:
3 days on‑site, 2 days remote
Travel:
Less than 5%
May involve occasional movement between
office and warehouse areas
