Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their client's dynamic team in California. This position offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment where organizational and multitasking skills are key. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of logistics processes.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage the movement of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to maintain stock levels.
Prepare and process shipping documents, invoices, and other logistics-related paperwork.
Work closely with the warehouse and sales teams to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping and delivery.
Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities.
Assist in optimizing logistics processes and implementing cost-saving measures.
Coordinate daily shipments and deliveries with carriers and warehouse staff.
Track orders and provide timely updates on delivery status.
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues.
Assist with freight quotes, scheduling pickups, and managing logistics costs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in shipping and receiving processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in logistics or supply chain preferred; additional logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.
3-5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, shipping, or warehouse operations.
Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); ERP or WMS experience is a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Required Work Hours The position requires working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
