Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Cardiology – $6000 Sign on, Full‑time, Day shift. Position at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX (Harry Hines Blvd). Salary $120,000‑$130,000, plus benefits and sign‑on incentive. Responsibilities
Provide clinical support for patients with advanced heart failure, including LVADs, on the inpatient cardiology team. Round with the cardiology team, optimize drug therapy, and precept pharmacy residents and students. Contribute to consultative services for cardiovascular pharmacotherapy. Lead department initiatives, support quality improvement, and educate providers, patients, and learners. Non‑direct patient care activities

PGY‑1 and PGY‑2 from an ASHP‑accredited residency program. PharmD from an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy. 5 years of progressive clinical practice experience in cardiology after PGY‑1 (or 8 years if no PGY‑1). Computer Skills
BLS certification required. Basic life support and ACLS certified within 6 months of hire. Pharmacy technician license by TSBP within 30 days of hire. Job Duties
Perform clinical services in accordance with guidelines, policies, and safety standards. Coordinate staff training and competency development. Consult on therapeutic monitoring, drug calculations, and formulary management. Initiate and monitor policy and process improvements.
