Senior Business Analyst - Consumer Identity. The Consumer Identity team is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst for the Strategy and Analytics team to help protect customers’ identities from fraud and to center customer‑centric analysis in Capital One’s operations. Your role will be to help drive the strategy and analytics used to optimize fraud prevention. You will partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Design and others to deliver on a critical dimension of how Capital One defends the company and its customers against fraud. This role will include work on items such as: Evaluating the effectiveness of new Identity tools, optimizing policy, and setting a strategic roadmap with platform teams for the next generation of Identity defenses Analyzing, responding to and mitigating fraud attacks in partnership with Lines of Business across the company to ensure defenses keep pace with attackers Establishing our Credit Risk management infrastructure foundations Create frameworks to assess platforms’ existing customer experiences and interactions to identify leverage points that reduce friction and drive customer satisfaction Exploring opportunities to leverage customer level data (e.g., cross-LOB behavioral data) for fraud and other high‑leverage use cases As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. General Responsibilities

Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations Product: Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products Marketing: Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences and innovative go-to-market concepts Credit Risk: Support step-change improvements in credit performance by linking drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using monitoring and analysis Execution: Frame problems, develop hypotheses, test and analyze, develop solutions, assess operational feasibility, lead implementation, and develop a monitoring plan Partnership: Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvements in quality, volume, service and profitability Strategic & analytic orientation: Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems based on analytics; strong quantitative orientation to support marketing and credit risk management Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: Tenacious decision maker with a responsible approach to business Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication, with strategic influencing and negotiation abilities Clear results orientation: Focus on achieving short and long-term goals in a dynamic environment Experience thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; consulting experience is a plus Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) At least 1 year of experience in analysis Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering 1+ years of experience in statistical model building 1+ years of experience in market research 1+ years of experience in SQL querying 2+ years of experience in business analysis 1+ years of experience in consulting Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $99,100 - $113,100 for Sr. Business Analyst; McLean, VA: $109,000 - $124,400 for Sr. Business Analyst. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected in the offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
