Vaco is proud to partner with a prestigious national client in the legal industry to recruit a Billing & Collections Specialist. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining operational excellence.

Role Overview As a Billing & Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our financial services. You’ll be responsible for managing accounts receivable, collaborating with attorneys, and billing teams, and driving timely collections—all while upholding our commitment to precision and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Review aged accounts receivable (A/R) in MS Excel and communicate with billing attorneys, specialists, and clients (as approved) to ensure timely collections.

Proactively manage problematic A/R and collaborate with the collections team to resolve issues efficiently.

Maintain and update the collections database with accurate status reports.

Create clear, concise spreadsheets detailing billing, payments, and outstanding invoices to support collection efforts.

Assist the billing department with special projects and tasks assigned by the Billing & Collections management team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

5+ years of experience in a law firm handling both billing and collections (required)

Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and formulas within AR aging reports (required)

Experience with collections software (required)

Familiarity with Aderant (preferred)

Ability to work EST/CST Standard Business Hours (required)
