Job Description The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance is an Allstate Business) is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust. This role drives sales and builds and retains a book of business within the market / retail location. The position attracts and generates new customers and cross-sells existing customers for products including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance. The role sells to walk-in customers and markets products outside of the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships for ongoing growth.
Responsibilities
Sell to walk-in customers and market products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits.
Attract and generate new customers; cross-sell existing customers across product offerings (Auto, Life, Auto Club, Roadside Assistance).
Develop and retain a book of business within the market/retail location and build community relationships to promote growth.
Contribute to achieving production and growth goals by planning, implementing, and managing marketing and sales processes with Direct Sales Leadership.
Deliver optimal results within defined metrics (quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction) and ensure compliance with rules, procedures, and standards.
Understand and stay current on company underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
Handle customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.
Minimum Qualifications
0–2 years of experience.
P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.
Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell/retention of customers.
Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and establish multiple centers of influence/referral sources (car dealerships, local events, community organizations, etc.).
Initiates outbound calls to established target customer base for product offerings.
Monitors competitors in the local market and suggests initiatives to improve the company’s position.
Works with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve goals.
Compensation
Unlicensed Candidates: Base compensation of $17.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Licensed Candidates (Auto or P&C): Base compensation of $20.00 per hour, based on active license and minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience.
Total compensation may include incentive pay (commissions and bonuses) based on individual and team performance.
