Overview

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a Project Director for an upcoming opportunity to lead the New York State Career and Technical Education Technical Assistance Center (NYS CTE TAC). The Project Director will oversee the statewide Center, operated under contract with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Education Policy, to help advance New York's vision that all learners have access to high-quality, equitable CTE pathways. The Project Director will oversee statewide coordination, strategic planning, fiscal management, staffing, and alignment of NYS CTE TAC activities with NYSEDs Perkins V State Plan. This includes managing staff, coordinating with NYSED, and ensuring timely delivery of all technical assistance, professional development, regional support, and reporting deliverables. MSG specializes in delivering innovative solutions in program management, training and technical assistance, research and evaluation, marketing and communications, and IT and digital services to a range of federal and state clients, including extensive experience with the U.S. Departments of Education, Labor, and Health and Human Services and state government agencies. Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership, administration, and strategic direction for the NYS CTE TAC. Develop and manage the annual statewide work plan in collaboration with NYSED's Office of CTE. Oversee technical assistance, professional development, and regional support across 10 economic development regions. Lead communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders. Supervise and mentor Center and Field staff; ensure quality and consistency of services statewide. Oversee fiscal management, reporting, and compliance with state and federal requirements. Maintain ongoing communication with NYSED to report progress, evaluate impact, and adjust priorities. Represent the NYS CTE TAC at statewide and national meetings, sharing New York's CTE best practices. Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree required (education, CTE, public administration, or related field). Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in secondary and/or postsecondary education or workforce development. Demonstrated experience with state and federal program administration (including Perkins V or similar programs). Strong strategic planning, project management, and budget oversight skills. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with New York State school districts, BOCES, or state education agencies. Knowledge of New York's CTE policy landscape, data systems, and regional economic development initiatives preferred. Experience managing federal or state education contracts or technical assistance centers. Key Competencies
