Senior HVAC Project Manager - HVAC - Base Salary to 120k/year - Chicago, IL

They are currently looking to add a Senior Project Manager to their team as they continue to grow.

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage a team of project managers and coordinators, ensuring consistent project management within budget while maintaining excellent customer service. They will also implement policies and procedures, recruit and train team members, manage project budgets, oversee project construction from start to finish, ensure compliance with contracts and legal requirements, manage costs and quality control, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to promote project success.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and ensure accountability of project management team for consistent project execution within budget, prioritizing excellent customer service.

Establish and enforce adherence to policies, procedures, and processes.

Collaborate with HR for recruitment and training of project management staff.

Develop project budgets based on initial estimates.

Coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, including proposals, contracts, procurement, billing, and collections.

Ensure compliance with project contracts and legal obligations.

Manage project costs and monitor production efficiency to stay within budget.

Facilitate communication and coordination among project team members and stakeholders.

Manage documentation, communication, and procurement of necessary equipment.

Uphold quality control standards and mitigate liability risks.

Participate in safety programs and promote a safe work environment.

Handle change order requests promptly and efficiently.

Proactively manage construction costs to maximize project success.

Maintain communication with management, vendors, and construction team members as required.

Ensure project management team delivers projects within estimated gross profit margins.

Supervise submission and updates of change orders and assist with estimating as needed.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in project management, engineering, finance, or business, or an Associate’s degree in business or accounting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Preferably, candidates should have at least 2+ years of experience in a related industry or project management field.

3+ years of experience of HVAC and piping systems
