Overview Downtown Sacramento law firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary , preferably with labor & employment experience. This role provides critical administrative and secretarial support to attorneys, ensuring smooth and efficient case management. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in managing complex litigation processes with precision.
Base pay range
$73,000.00/yr - $98,000.00/yr
Responsibilities Prepare, format, edit, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
Generate Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities in compliance with the Bluebook and California Style Manual
Finalize and organize exhibits for service and filing, ensuring adherence to court rules
File and serve documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing
Manage attorney calendars: schedule court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and deadlines
Draft and manage correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and conference logistics
Maintain and organize case files using the firm's document management system
Assist with trial preparation: assemble exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists
Conduct legal research on court rules and filing deadlines
Qualifications Minimum 7 years of legal secretary experience, with a strong focus on litigation
Advanced knowledge of state and federal court procedures and legal terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with legal software and e-filing platforms (e.g., PACER, OneLegal)
