1st Shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 40–45 hrs/week + OT)

Lead CNC Programmer (Turning)
to join our team and support advanced multi-axis machining operations.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a highly skilled
CNC Turning Programmer
to lead programming efforts on
multi-channel, dual-turret turn-mill machines with sub-spindles . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Fanuc controls ,
live tooling , and
Y-axis lathes , along with strong
CAM programming
ability in
Hypermill
or equivalent software.
You’ll work closely with setup machinists and operators to continuously improve processes, reduce cycle times, and ensure the highest quality standards across every job.
Responsibilities
Program and set up
CNC turning centers
to produce small-lot, high-precision aerospace and medical parts
Create and optimize programs using
Hypermill ,
G/M code , and
Fanuc controls
Estimate program time, tooling costs, and cycle times
Design and select appropriate
tooling, fixturing, and materials
Build tool assemblies and process sheets in CAM software
Develop
process control plans
and manage tool life proactively
Collaborate with the operations team to maintain production schedules
Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
Provide training and mentorship to setup machinists and operators
Work within
ISO 9001 / AS9100
quality systems
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience
programming and operating CNC lathes
with live tooling / sub-spindle
Experience with
Fanuc controls
and
multi-axis turning
Strong
blueprint reading
and
GD&T
understanding
Proficiency in
Hypermill
or equivalent CAM software
Ability to design fixturing, select cutting tools, and optimize machining parameters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or related post-secondary training preferred
