Responsibilities What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Lead the technical direction for healthcare data exchange, including drafting roadmaps and setting priorities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new platform capabilities and innovative services
Build large-scale APIs and microservices to facilitate real-time data access for patients and providers
Mentor fellow engineers to enhance team productivity and uphold coding standards
Pioneer innovative strategies in healthcare tech, including the adoption of generative AI and exploration of new data sources
Qualifications What is Required (Qualifications):
Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing high-performance backend services and APIs
Proven experience managing complex user-facing platforms with a strategic vision
Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to healthcare integration challenges
Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR and HL7
Preferred Qualifications How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with healthcare interoperability patterns and a desire to challenge the status quo
Background in leading teams towards best practices in testing, deployment, and observability
Proven track record of balancing immediate project needs with long-term strategic goals
