About the Sous Chef A Sous Chef at Belmont Park plays a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily operations. Responsibilities include managing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining quality and consistency across menus, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. They collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences while contributing to the success of the park's diverse culinary offerings.
What You’ll Do
Lead by Example: Guide kitchen staff during AM and PM service shifts, ensuring exceptional food quality and efficiency.
Inspire and Develop: Train, mentor, and manage kitchen team members, fostering a positive and professional environment.
Innovate: Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to develop exciting new menu items and seasonal features that delight our guests.
Ensure Excellence: Monitor food preparation, presentation, and safety standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Streamline Operations: Oversee inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance to optimize kitchen efficiency.
Collaborate: Work with the restaurant management team to ensure smooth operations and a seamless dining experience.
What You Bring to the Table
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-volume, multi-venue environment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
Expertise in food safety, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
Creative and detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for developing innovative dishes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
