Sr. Manager, Search and Recruiting - SDL Search Partners
One of our top clients, a large, dynamic consulting firm in Boston, is looking to add a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring timely, accurate payroll for employees while supporting various payroll-related processes across the organization. We are looking for someone who brings professional services payroll experience, an understanding of payroll compliance, and hands-on experience with Workday. Job Description: Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple locations Utilize Workday to manage payroll inputs for new hires, terminations, benefit changes, and other employee lifecycle events Ensure timely and accurate processing of garnishments, deductions, and tax withholdings Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audit preparation Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure payroll compliance and alignment with policies Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, paychecks, and tax documents with professionalism and confidentiality Qualifications: 3+ years of payroll experience Workday experience is required Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations Experience working in a professional services firm is highly preferred Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Seniority level
