737 Interiors Certification Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) — Boeing is seeking Interiors Certification Engineers to join the 737 Interiors Certification Team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Renton, WA. The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; the Interiors of the airplane, cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety—all part of Payloads. This role involves collaborating across engineering disciplines to certify and deliver interiors products within the cabin safety certification processes. Our organization is fast paced and dynamic, drawing from many engineering backgrounds. In this role, you will work on statements of work spanning the product lifecycle—from customer engagement to supporting post-delivery changes—and interface with project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to implement engineering solutions. This position can lead towards an Interior Crashworthiness/Interior Arrangement Engineering Unit Member (E-UM) position, though progression to an E-UM is not required. Position Responsibilities

Develops, integrates and documents interior payload system certification requirements to establish the system design. Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works with design engineers on showing compliance to FAA regulations, developing/using issue papers and demonstrating equivalent level of safety. Collaborates with the interiors organization to certify and deliver the best interiors products within the industry. Potentially serves as an FAA designee for interior crashworthiness. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, design criteria and engineering release processes Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5+ years of experience in program or project management, leading proposals including schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, and risk/issues management 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years of engineering experience Strong understanding and demonstrated certification experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent Ability to work independently and in a team environment; adaptable in a dynamic work environment Experience as a Designated Engineering Representative (DER), Engineering Unit Member (E-UM), Design Approval Engineer (DAE), Certification Plan Owner (CPO), or Design Engineer Experience leading a cross-functional team Excellent written and oral communication skills Relocation
