Jobs via Dice . Join Boeing's Interiors Certification Team within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) as a Senior Interiors Certification Engineer in Everett, WA.
Overview The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly, including the interiors of the airplane, cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety. The role spans the product lifecycle from engaging with customer requests to supporting post‑delivery changes. You will interface with project engineering, production engineering, program product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions through the cabin safety certification processes.
Position Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, and document interior payload system certification requirements to establish system design.
Perform or oversee approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort.
Work with design engineers on showing compliance to FAA regulations, developing/using issue papers, equivalent level of safety, etc.
Possibly act as an FAA designee for interior crashworthiness.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences engineering.
5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, design criteria, and engineering release processes.
Understanding and demonstrated certification experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in program or project management, leading projects or program proposals of varying complexity.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrates good problem‑solving skills and critical thinking.
Experience in Design Approval Engineering (DAE), Certification Plan Owner (CPO), Engineering Unit Member (E‑UM), etc.
Experience leading a cross‑functional team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay is based on experience and qualifications and may range from $120,700 to $163,300 for Level 4. Additional benefits vary by location and eligibility.
