Senior Sales Executive – Forward Air Corporation
Location: Irvine, CA
Salary: $100,000 plus commission
Job Description We are seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Executive to strengthen and expand relationships with large enterprise customers in the transportation and logistics industry.
Key focus areas include maintaining strong customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and leveraging Forward Air’s portfolio of value‑added services.
Responsibilities
Develop new business and grow revenue by identifying potential customers, researching their supply chain needs, and presenting tailored solutions.
Maintain existing business by understanding customer needs, collaborating with customer success executives, and implementing solutions to retain business.
Coordinate with internal teams—including specialized product sales and customer success—to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Regularly engage with customers to ensure they understand Forward Air’s capabilities and maximize utilization of the full portfolio.
Foster strong customer relationships through business reviews, solutions development, and high‑quality communication.
Leverage internal systems, mobile devices, and PowerPoint to deliver precise customer communications grounded in execution excellence.
Initiate leadership within teams, demonstrating organization, discipline, and adaptability in challenging situations.
Monitor competitor activities in each account and respond with timely, well‑communicated strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in enterprise‑level sales, preferably in transportation or logistics.
Proven track record of exceeding enterprise‑level sales targets and growing market share.
Experience selling to enterprise‑level customers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Overnight travel may be required to meet customer demands.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume sales environment.
