Overview
The Lead Technical Services Liaison – ITS2 (Information Technology Specialist 2) will serve as the primary point of contact and escalation resource for technical issue resolution between Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). Located in St. Paul, MN, the position is full‑time, day shift, and requires on‑site presence at 444 Lafayette Road at least 50% of the time, with limited telework opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate technology‑related requests, manage hardware and software assets, facilitate meetings and communication between MNIT Enterprise and agency staff, and support the rollout of new tools and equipment. Play a critical role in improving workflows, ensuring service consistency, and fostering collaboration among technical teams, vendors, and procurement staff to maintain efficient and reliable technology operations. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in technical support, customer service, or IT operations Experience supporting end‑user technology (hardware, software, mobile devices) in a large or complex organization Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard business software Experience coordinating or leading technical service or support functions such as troubleshooting, ticket management, or asset tracking Ability to develop and maintain documentation, procedures, or training related to technical support processes Strong communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences Demonstrated customer service skills, including active listening, empathy, and problem‑solving Preferred Qualifications
Lead or escalation point experience for IT service delivery or customer support Knowledge of mobile device management tools (Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager) Experience managing hardware/software inventory and licensing records Familiarity with IT service management systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and procurement workflows Excellent organizational and time‑management skills Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration across technical and business teams Additional Requirements
