Sapphire Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior)

to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Saint Charles, MO; Everett, WA; Tukwila, WA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; or North Charleston, SC. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is modernizing its foundational product lifecycle management (PLM), manufacturing operations management (MOM), and enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and Boeing Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S).

This individual will be a contributing member of Program Sapphire’s integrated planning and scheduling team, responsible for maintaining and updating the master and subordinate schedules and ensuring schedule data integrity across planning tools. This role consolidates and validates schedule inputs from Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), performs critical‑path, float, and dependency analyses, supports schedule change control and baseline updates, and tracks recovery actions and schedule‑related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The specialist prepares routine and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards for program and IPT reviews, assists with schedule risk identification and mitigation planning, coordinates cross‑functional dependency resolution, and recommends process and tooling improvements under the direction of the program scheduling lead.

Position Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain an integrated plan and schedule to meet program requirements in accordance with project management industry standard.

Perform studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, and program initiatives.

Create schedules, reports, metrics, change activity, communicate and update plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.

Work to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support program decision maker.

Help transition the program to a new tool set.

Act as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.

Assist customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

3+ years of experience in change management, program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, information technology or Business Operations.

3+ years of experience developing/maintaining team schedules, resource management, earned value management, risk management, and project management.

Experience coordinating the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as a liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling, and management.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Experience adjusting priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.

Experience working well in a team environment.

Experience using Open Plan Professional.

Experience using Microsoft Project.

Experience using Milestone Professional.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: Mid‑Level $87,550 – $126,500

Summary pay range: Senior $107,950 – $156,400
