Epic Analyst Trainee – FIU
Mount Sinai Medical Center is currently recruiting Information Technology professionals to join our team and engage immediately with the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiative.

Opportunities
We continually increase adoption and expand the tools and features available through an EHR, focusing on revenue cycle management, system interoperability, population health management, and health analytics. We also maintain and enhance our IT systems in areas such as physician practices, radiology, lab, pharmacy, ER, OR, anesthesia, clinical documentation, orders, device integration, reporting, informatics/analytics, and more.
Position Responsibilities
Address emerging hospital patient safety, quality of care, and improved patient outcome initiatives in addition to system enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance.
Oversee the full life‑cycle management of clinical applications.
Opportunities for travel to earn Epic certifications.
Learn different IT clinical systems including Epic, our Electronic Health Record.
Sample Projects
Work side by side with nurses and physician leaders in the development of evidence‑based electronic order sets.
Device integration between biomedical equipment and the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) for nurses and physicians.
Analyze, document, and design a new electronic workflow for emerging physician practices currently using paper.
Develop or update existing hospital workflows to meet new regulatory EHR incentive programs.
Work with the business office to update hospital reimbursement contracts and automate refund transactions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or currently in the final semester at an accredited college/university, pursuing a BA/BS or MA/MS in a related analytical field with a GPA > 3.0.
Demonstrates analytical/problem‑solving skills.
No information technology experience is required.
