Responsible for oversight of all facets of the operations of the Assisted Living program and facility for the Senior Star community in support of the Executive Director. Responsible for ensuring the safety of our residents. Essential Job Functions

Responsible for oversight of the operations of the Assisted Living Program in accordance with established policies, procedures, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards. Know applicable regulations and changes to regulations. Ensure efficient day‑to‑day functioning of the program. Maintain state licensing and accreditation requirements. Serve as a liaison with the Governing Body and state and accreditation surveyors. Ensure the community operates in line with the established budget and meets income objectives. Prepare and send all required reports in a timely manner. Provide safe storage for management records, personnel records, and resident records. Assist the Food and Beverage Director to ensure that food and supplies needed for operation are available. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the community. Oversee Assisted Living Program staff and evaluate resident acuity to ensure adequate staffing. Work with the Assistant Health Services Director to schedule staff appropriately. Screens, interviews, and hires personnel who share company values and have compassion for individuals with cognitive impairments. Supervise training and development of all staff to meet needs of residents with cognitive impairments. Ensure all employees know and adhere to policies, procedures, safety and emergency procedures, ongoing training requirements, and service plan documentation. Ensure that nursing, care, and medication procedures are administered safely in accordance with company policies and regulations. Delegate authority and duties appropriately. Educate staff on confidentiality and abuse prevention. Evaluate performance of each employee per company procedures. Provide opportunities and materials for regular staff meetings and in‑service education. Act as a liaison with staff, directors, residents, families, and vendors through meetings and reports. Assist in developing specific policies and procedures regarding staff duties. Serve as the community Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator. Assist residents by conducting initial assessments for eligibility and developing service plans with input from residents, families, and other professionals. Obtain orders from physicians and maintain current documentation. Coordinate services with health care professionals to achieve resident service plan goals. Monitor quality of Assisted Living Program services for each resident. Maintain a high level of personal contact with residents and families. Supervise and support the Assisted Living Program Director to motivate and enrich residents’ lives. Monitor residents at least every 90 days for adverse reactions to medications and ensure accurate medication administration. Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Currently licensed as a nursing home administrator or registered nurse. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field, or an Associate’s degree in nursing, health care management, or a related field. At least 21 years of age and has never been convicted of an offense involving long‑term care facility operation. Maintains professional licensure, continuing education requirements, and a professional demeanor. Has at least one year of experience in health care management or the industry. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, sufficient computer skills, and is physically, mentally, and emotionally equipped for the role.
