Senior Recruitment Consultant at RPS (Round-Peg Solutions) Are you a skilled Toolmaker ready to turn innovative concepts into high-precision prototypes? We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker / Prototype Machinist to join a cutting-edge aerospace development team. In this role, you will work closely with engineers to develop tools, molds, and small-run production parts that rapidly convert design ideas into functional prototypes. Base pay range

Machine, fabricate, and assemble plastic molds, small-run machined parts, other tooling, and prototype aerospace components. Use GD&T expertise to create tools and parts with precise geometric tolerances. Perform manual milling, turning, and EDM operations. Turn concept sketches and rough engineering designs into fully realized prototype tools and parts quickly. Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback on tool and part designs. Apply creative, on-the-fly solutions to achieve desired outcomes in a fast-moving environment. Assist with machine selection, initial setup, activation, and routine maintenance. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in toolmaking. 5+ years of experience in high-precision or aerospace machining, with 5-axis CNC experience preferred. Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam, HyperMILL, Esprit) and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Siemens NX). Deep understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC program editing. Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and tolerance stack-ups. Hands-on experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, CMMs). Preferred Qualifications
Experience machining injection mold tooling, including wire and die-sinking EDM. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced prototyping and manufacturing environment. Apply Today
