Position Summary:
The primary focus of the position is to maximize sales of Chinola at on and off premise accounts in and around the area of South Florida.
Responsibilities:
The sales manager will spend 90% of their time in the field building and expanding relationships with our distributor partner, retailer managers, and top on premise accounts by planning and executing sales and marketing strategies in alignment with the brand. Effectively manage these relationships to achieve case sales and distribution objectives within the determined budget.
Provide support and follow through for National and key Regional on premise account programming at the direction of the East Coast Director.
Conduct consumer education, sampling and activations, which will be key to grow the current market.
Will execute seasonal activities as lead in the marketplace, which often occur in the evenings and on weekends.
Provide point of sales materials and training materials to key accounts.
Submit sales reports as requested and provide market intelligence on internal weekly calls.
Record all account visits in KARMA application with details of visit and account contacts; conduct weekly recaps with State Manager.
Maintain operations within assigned monthly budgets.
Achieve KPIs and goals set for the territory.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience.
Minimum three years as distributor sales representative or have retail sales experience in the Beverage Alcohol Industry.
Complete understanding of on and off premise sales environment in the market in question.
Working knowledge of the promotional marketing process.
Proven track record in building solid relationships with customers.
Computer literate with the ability to skillfully use software applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Flexibility as it applies to assisting colleagues in the field and with events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Spirits experience preferred.
Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on all commitments (internal and external stakeholders).
Demonstrated strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with minimum of direction.
Experience using VIP/KARMA platforms.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a car or travel via plane/train as needed.
