The SVMI shall resolve obstacles to allow for the completion of the work in a safe, cost effective, efficient, timely, and productive manner, such as managing time and expenses (T&E) in the field, to minimize rework and drive quality. Manage day-to-day activities to ensure personnel stay focused on the assigned job and verify appropriate scope is being achieved, applicable equipment is utilized, and proper documentation updated. Act as the VM contact for new business and re-construction work requested by the Energy Delivery organization. With PG&E representative approval, approve scheduling and scope changes in the field. Promote safety on site by fostering leadership, safety culture, and ensuring all applicable safety rules and standards are followed. Perform and document Safety Observations and Good Catches. Audit work performed by VMIs to ensure compliance with standards. Assist with training and onboarding of VM Inspectors. Support PGE Work Verification team to ensure observations are addressed timely. Maintain working relationships with public agencies (e.g., Caltrans, CalFire, USFS, BLM) and PG&E’s tree contractors, including escalation handling for customer complaints. Basic Responsibilities

Patrol distribution or transmission circuits and prescribe work to PG&E’s tree contractor, ensuring clearances remain compliant for at least one calendar year. Determine next trim requirements and assess trees with potential to strike PG&E facilities for failure likelihood and hazards. Prescribe tree pruning and removal work to facilitate compliance tagging and PG&E Vegetation Management standards. Ensure work complies with PG&E VM Standards and Procedures, project specifications, permits, and safety requirements. Utilize computers and run reports, updating data within PG&E’s VMDSRs; proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Perform quality check audits on VMIs and assist in outage investigations as needed. Assist in local Divisional Operational Emergency Center as Vegetation Resource Coordinator, and in fire and incident investigations. Support customer claims investigations; perform duties for emergency response per safety requirements and labor agreements. Ensure annual patrols are documented per PG&E mapping procedures and identify Idle and Private Lines. Equipment, Environmental and Safety Requirements

Driving cars, trucks, forklifts; walking on uneven ground; exposure to noise, temperature, humidity, wetness; operation of foot controls; exposure to dust, gas, fumes, chemicals. Prolonged sitting; forestry-related equipment and safety gear (hard hat, vest, glasses, etc.). Qualifications

Must meet general requirements below: High School diploma or GED, AND Possess a Class C driver’s license; meet one of the experience levels below. You must reside within 50 miles of Placerville, CA. Experience requirements (must meet one): Five (5) years as a tree crew climber/foreman with at least two (2) years of line clearance certification OR Five (5) years as a Vegetation Management Inspector and Certified Arborist OR Five (5) years as a Registered Professional Forester OR Five (5) years as a Utility Inspector or higher with at least one (1) year vegetation management experience OR Four (4) years of Military Service with honorable discharge and at least one (1) year vegetation management inspection experience AND PG&E Representative approval Required Skills: Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates High level of communication and organizational skills Customer service oriented Experience with data collection devices and GIS software desired Proficient with Microsoft Office; self-motivated, organized, production oriented Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work in varied terrain and inclement weather with flexible schedules (nights/weekends as needed) Ability to learn and use company-specific software systems; read and follow maps Accountability, accuracy, dependability, and drive; ability to work independently; interpersonal skills Training

OSHA 30-hour construction safety overview (completed within six months of start) CTSP or ISA Certified Arborist with TRAQ (completed within six months of eligibility) 911 Standby training (within one month of start) QA/QC knowledge (within one month of start) Computer training (forms, uploading documents, GIS) within one month Supervisor Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between client’s representative and Operations Manager to monitor work group progress. Additional Details

Position title: Senior Vegetation Management Inspector; Alternate title: SVMI; Reports to: Operations Manager; Division/Department: Operations. Base Compensation: $50.35 per hour; FLSA: Non-Exempt; Bargaining Role: Yes. Salary Range Disclosure:

The base hourly amount is $50.35; with an in-lieu of benefits amount of $12.59 per hour, totaling $62.94 per hour. Union members receive a $50 daily subsistence for days worked over 4 hours. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, per-diems, etc. Salary Range Transparency:
