Project Director

Pay Range: $80,308.80 - $115,835.20 annually (DOE)
Job Summary Project Directors are responsible for simultaneously managing and directing multiple claims/jobs. They lead technicians and superintendents, ensuring project completion in schedule and budget, reporting to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple large‑scope projects from inception to completion.
Develop estimates for construction and mitigation projects.
Approve time and material billing, ensuring all job costs are captured.
Maintain business contacts and source new business.
Prepare work orders with accurate detail; disseminate to responsible parties.
Conduct inspections, recommending adjustments to adjusters or clients.
Track project plans and adjust deadlines to meet contract schedules.
Ensure timely invoicing and payment processing.
Communicate effectively with adjusters, customers, coworkers, and contractors.
Market company services to adjusters and potential clients.
Collaborate with Account Executives on bids.
Perform loss site inspections to prepare bids.
Support and promote the company’s safe workplace policies.
Experience and Requirements
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Proven experience managing large commercial mitigation and construction projects.
Extensive knowledge in construction estimating.
Experience with time & material billing concepts.
Marketing experience to generate new or existing business.
Fundamental safety standards knowledge.
Strong leadership and delegation; excellent communication.
Industry certification desirable.
Participation in IICRC Training or completion.
Excellent time‑management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Xactimate required.
Understanding of cost containment and risk management.
OSHA 10 certification desirable.
Good judgement under pressure.
Effective coaching and training skills.
Safety Requirements
Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.
Wear required personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, safety footwear).
Complete respiratory fit test and pulmonary function test.
Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Know emergency procedures and evacuation routes.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 100 lbs with assistance; routine lifting of 50 lbs.
Perform tasks involving walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling.
Prolonged sitting or standing; shift between activities.
Repetitive motions (typing, data entry) over prolonged periods.
Operate machinery and tools as required.
Maintain clear vision for close work and computer use.
Working Conditions
Field work at restoration sites: outdoor, weather exposure, hazardous materials.
Office work: indoor, computer tasks, meetings.
Work may include after‑hours, weekends, and variable travel.
