Base Pay Range $117,700.00/yr - $196,500.00/yr

The senior manager of marketing operations contributes to Starbucks success by partnering with Global Marketing Org and other assigned businesses to support program management as part of the team responsible for North America marketing and product execution from planning through delivery. You approach project management with internal business partners with the ability to bring projects over the finish line through cross‑functional team collaboration. You understand the importance of strong partnerships across teams as a vital means to be successful in your work.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary project management contact for highly complex and visible brand and product marketing campaign work and lead cross‑functional team(s) to manage programs or projects to improve the operational capability from planning to execution.

Manage and monitor project or program schedules and progress to ensure expected results are delivered on time and within budget, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate challenges and to elevate risk when necessary.

Influence processes for improving business planning, cross‑functional communication, work integration and teamwork between partners from cross‑functional departments to achieve KPIs.

Apply experience in managing relationships in a highly matrixed organization to successfully brief and guide work through the strategic, creative development, and delivery process. Leverage a depth of marketing knowledge and capabilities as a consulting Starbucks business partner on requirements, strategies and opportunities for innovation across Starbucks paid/owned/earned channels.

Facilitate successful marketing kickoffs to ensure creative teams receive comprehensive briefings to efficiently initiate work.

Track success metrics and program performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and integrate learnings into future initiatives.

Lead projects through ambiguity, rolling up sleeves to pave a way forward when next steps aren’t always clear.

What We’re Looking For

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, at both orally and in writing.

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines, including change management skills.

Ability to manage, lead and mentor team members.

Ability to define objectives, scope and resources for projects extending beyond a department or business unit.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

7+ years of experience establishing cross‑functional, collaborative relationships with business partners and leading cross‑functional teams.

8+ years of experience leading complex program and project efforts to completion.

8 years of experience in project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources, and communications.

7+ years of experience managing complex large‑scale or multiple mid‑size projects.

7+ years of experience in requirements gathering and analysis.
