Job Title: Team Lead – Quality What we are looking for The Team Lead – Quality provides leadership and technical direction to a team of hourly inspection associates. The role ensures safe, productive work and that team members meet defined production and quality metrics. The team lead acts proactively to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration within the team.

What you will be responsible for in this role

Direct daily activities in the work area and allocate team resources to meet daily production goals.

Perform inspector and tech duties as required.

Partner with department supervisors and managers to establish and communicate quality performance expectations.

Lead daily huddle meetings with the team.

Serve as a technical resource in all critical quality areas.

Provide guidance on quality expectations.

Identify non‑conformances and communicate with operations and engineering to address deficiencies.

Provide training and ensure team members receive required task training.

Ensure safe work practices and proper PPE usage; develop and maintain a safe work environment.

Monitor team performance and report on established metrics.

Ensure thorough handover between shifts for assigned areas.

Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information.

Maintain timely communication with supervisors/ managers about attendance, performance, time‑off requests, disciplinary actions, and accident investigations.

Understand company policies and engage HR, Safety, etc., to handle arising issues.

Help develop and implement quality tools and guides (e.g., visual aids, quality alerts, processes).

What are the basic qualifications?

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum two (2) years of experience in a quality‑control/assurance role or a position requiring evaluation of product quality against defined specifications.

Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, blueprints, and parts/component/assembly drawings.

What are the preferred qualifications?

ASQ Certified Quality Tech/Inspector or other recognized quality standard (e.g., ISO, UL, NSF).

Associate’s degree and/or certification in a technical field.

Proficiency using precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, protractors, micrometers).

Three (3) years’ experience in a leadership role.

Proven ability to operate and prioritize in a fast‑paced, changing environment.

Effective communicator; verbal and written communication with front‑line and leadership.

Demonstrated initiative and proactive problem‑solving.

Track record of driving continuous improvement in assigned areas.
