Senior Medical Assistant, Family Medicine Center at Wilmington
Base pay range: $19.84/hr – $29.76/hr
Job Overview ChristianaCare Family Medicine Center at Wilmington is recruiting a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in a primary care setting that includes on‑site pharmacy, diagnostics, and a range of specialty services. The role involves both virtual and in‑person clinical duties and requires leadership and mentoring of office staff.
Work Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Duties & Responsibilities
Room patients, record vital signs and perform point‑of‑care testing.
Administer injections, medications, and EKGs as needed.
Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms with supplies and manage patient paperwork.
Maintain EMR compliance, updating test results for upcoming visits.
Provide coverage during staff shortages and participate in new‑hire orientation.
Handle prior authorizations, referrals, medical refills, and scheduling of tests and procedures.
Perform sterilization of medical equipment in accordance with state guidelines.
Manage clinical supplies and ensure safe work practices.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program and current Medical Assistant Certification (NCCA or ANSI) or obtain within 3 months of hire.
Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Assistant (three years preferred).
