Role and Responsibilities This is a field-based account executive role within Guardant Health’s Oncology Sales organization, focused on promoting Guardant 360® (Liquid, CDx, and Tissue), Reveal®, and Response® products. The Account Executive will drive market sales strategy and business expansion with oncology healthcare providers and offices in the assigned territory, build relationships with healthcare practices, cancer centers, IDNs, and academic medical centers, and deliver best-in-class oncology diagnostic products and services. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Execute commercial field sales strategy with targeted oncology customers to drive sales and achieve business objectives. Develop strong customer relationships to engage target customers on Guardant Health’s portfolio of products. Develop and execute detailed, local, collaborative strategic plans for gaining and retaining new and existing customers, including budgets, travel, territory management, resource use, and goal setting. Collaborate with internal partners and leadership to attain company goals and objectives. Analyze the competitive landscape within assigned accounts to identify trends and provide customer feedback to leadership. Monitor sales performance and make compliant, on-strategy adjustments to meet objectives. Represent Guardant Health values and culture to internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of field-based, account-focused healthcare sales experience (preferably in a molecular diagnostic setting) with a history of above-average performance. Resides in the territory, or within 25 miles of the territory boundary. Bachelor’s degree (B.S. in life science, biology, business or marketing preferred). Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape. Demonstrated revenue generation and/or quota attainment in a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or related biotechnology company. Ability to engage in consultative selling, overcome objections, and align client needs with Guardant Health capabilities. Comfortable selling to customers at all levels (including C-suite, D-suite). Understanding of payor and reimbursement environments in oncology and diagnostics. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks with critical deadlines. Maintain strong market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge to achieve sales objectives. Excellent knowledge of oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics and targeted agents; strong negotiation and customer service skills. Strategic sales account planning, listening, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality. Proven closing abilities throughout the sales cycle. Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and platforms such as Veeva and Salesforce.com. Ability to develop cross-functional relationships to achieve goals; work with minimal direction. Frequent travel (>50%) throughout the territory as needed. Education Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, business or marketing preferred. Hybrid Work Model Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days. All U.S. employees living within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The model provides flexibility for work-life balance while maintaining collaboration to advance science and patient care. Compensation The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and other locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or bonus/commission/equity. Compensation offers are based on geography, experience, education, job-related skills, duties, and business need. Primary Location: Remote-USA-NY | Base Pay Range: $138,400 - $190,300 Other US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $138,400 - $190,300 Note: If the role is performed in Colorado, the pay range remains the same.
