USD Sanford School of Medicine is seeking a Senior Secretary to support multiple departments — including Neurosciences, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pathology, Radiology, and Surgery. This position will provide administrative support to the departments and coordinate clinical rotations for medical students which includes maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of various and frequently changing schedules, communicating schedule changes to all necessary parties, and collaborating with both students and faculty.
Knowledge of:
- Modern office/clerical procedures and best practices
- Office equipment and software, including word, spreadsheets, and databases
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners
- Maintain organized and accurate records across multiple databases and spreadsheets
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Review, edit, and prepare documents for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism
- Work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays.
