We are seeking a skilled Senior Program Financial Analyst with at least 5 years of experience to monitor cost and performance on government contracts. The successful candidate will apply Estimate at Complete (EAC) methodology for cost control and revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership qualities, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously to effectively collaborate with internal program management customers and cross‑functional teams, ensuring accurate financial management and contract performance.
This is a hybrid position where the current expectation is to be onsite a minimum of four days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze cost and performance metrics on government contracts using Estimate at Complete (EAC) methodology.
Ensure accurate revenue recognition following ASC 606 guidelines.
Manage contract budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures to maintain cost control.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with project managers, finance, and accounting teams to deliver timely and accurate contract performance reports.
Build strong relationships with internal program management customers to understand needs, communicate findings clearly, and influence decision‑making.
Identify and communicate risks, variances, and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal leadership and government auditors.
Support audit and compliance activities related to government contracts.
Drive continuous improvement of reporting tools and processes to enhance contract performance visibility.
Demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to accomplish tasks independently with minimal supervision, managing priorities to meet deadlines effectively.
Preferred Technical Skills
Experience in program analysis, cost control, or financial analysis on government contracts
Hands‑on experience with SAP financial and project systems for contract cost tracking and reporting.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for dashboard creation and visualization.
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and macros.
Knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, cost control, or financial analysis.
Experience working on projects that utilize Estimate at Complete (EAC) methodology.
Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross‑functional teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal customers and stakeholders.
Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
