We are seeking a Network Engineer 5 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities

Design, implement, monitor and manage network solutions to ensure maximum uptime; design system configurations, document, and manage pre-installation and testing of new networks; perform hardware and software upgrades as required. Survey, inspection, tours, and related activities at client sites as required; document survey results in actionable form for senior personnel and management. Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices; work with field engineers to simulate system-level performance and provide feedback for improvements; assist senior engineers to identify and resolve network security issues. Develop network designs for each SLA classification; originate design documents for small projects and support larger programs; prepare specifications and perform QA/QC and technical reviews of designs. Prepare and test design documentation, test plans, and commissioning procedures; lead or supervise testing activities and develop test fixtures and simulation devices; perform complete system integration testing. Troubleshoot and debug complex network problems; perform preventative maintenance including software/hardware/firmware upgrades and security updates; provide maintenance plans and rollback plans. Document crucial working procedures and troubleshooting steps; assist team members in identifying and resolving basic/moderate network and telecom issues; work with project managers to meet network task expectations and project deadlines. Lead projects as an Engineering Lead and/or Project Manager to develop secure, resilient systems; prepare conceptual designs, schedules, and cost estimates for new and modified systems. Develop and implement security solutions for network infrastructure; track and report identified information system vulnerabilities; monitor and optimize network performance; manage firewall security appliances; stay current with emerging network technologies and standards. Collaborate with other disciplines to define work interfaces and ensure cohesive project delivery. Qualifications

Clearance/Citizenship: ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ Polygraph is REQUIRED; applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and may need U.S. Citizenship for access to classified information. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline; 10+ years progressive experience. Role-specific certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is required. Technical Skills: Understanding of ITIL concepts; moderate understanding of security implications for network solutions; strong knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools and design practices; familiarity with system development methodology, project management, and problem-solving skills. Communication Skills: Strong oral, technical writing, and presentation skills; ability to build productive relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Behavioral Skills: Able to balance high-quality standards with schedule pressures; resourceful, proactive, flexible, solution-oriented and customer-oriented. Field Experience: Ability to read network schematics and installation plans; experience with network startup, configuration, calibration, testing and troubleshooting; familiarity with tools and software (spectrum analyzer, cable tester, etc.); experience with ticketing/monitoring tools and multiple IT/Network platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, NetGear); experience with standard network software (Visio, Wireshark, Putty, CLI, etc.).
