Overview

Northeast Region Aviation Market Sector Leader. HDR is seeking a leader to set vision and direction for the Northeast Region, coordinating with Aviation market sector leadership and area leadership to expand aviation services for current and potential clients. This role involves developing and implementing market sector strategies and operating plans across the firm, in alignment with HDR’s broader strategy and client needs. Lead the Northeast Region Aviation Market Sector by setting vision and direction for strategy implementation to grow aviation services for current and potential clients. Facilitate development and execution of market sector strategies and operating plans across the firm in coordination with region and market sector leadership, area business group leadership, client managers, and directors. Focus on client management and development; serve as a client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key regional clients. Identify and develop project opportunities, act as pursuit champion, and support HDR pursuits. Plan, direct, and monitor large multi-discipline projects or mid-size projects with high technical complexity. Advance business development: assess market opportunities, determine approaches to win contracts, and work cross-sector with other market sectors and business groups. Support staff development, recruitment, and succession planning to strengthen regional capabilities. Assist with operations to deliver services, monitor market sector profit and loss, ensure project delivery, and support QA/QC programs. Specific Areas

Business Development Responsibilities: act as Client Manager for key area clients; develop Aviation Market Sector Strategy; promote HDR services; collaborate with Regional Business Group Managers; drive client development and pursuit processes; participate in industry associations; foster relationships with industry counterparts and senior client leadership. Staff Development Responsibilities: coordinate with regional areas, drive technical excellence, identify needs for new services, coordinate staffing and recruiting plans, and maximize depth and efficiency of practice. Support to Operations: drive client management, monitor performance indicators, promote resource sharing, assist with contract reviews, QA/QC facilitation, and lessons learned dissemination; undertake project management assignments as appropriate. Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, planning or related field. Minimum of 10 years of industry experience. Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, and/or planning services. Experience with client relationship development and pursuit management. Experience with staff development including recruiting and career growth. Ability to work cooperatively with multiple leadership roles across regions and groups. Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and participation in our employee-owned culture. Preferred

15+ years of experience in aviation planning and/or engineering. Engineering registration (if applicable). Ability to establish relationships with NE Aviation clients. Equal Opportunity
