Tax - Business Tax Services - Corporate Tax Senior
Location: Anywhere in Country
The opportunity EY Private Tax is a growing practice within the organization, focused on serving privately held companies—including family‑owned businesses and private equity‑owned firms. These high‑growth private companies range from startups to multi‑billion‑dollar global enterprises. You will work on technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects, with ample support and training, and opportunities to advance to manager.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Provide tax research, tax memorandum drafting, and quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Directors and Partners.
Liaise and develop relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals.
Build long‑term client relationships and understand their unique needs to provide tailored service.
Communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Maintain and share technical knowledge and best practices.
Identify and react to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by tax, business or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for CPA certification or membership in the Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Minimum of 3 years in professional services or a professional tax organization.
Commitment to continuous learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis.
Work in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed.
What We Offer You
A comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with base salary ranging from $82,000 to $135,200 in the U.S. and higher ranges for major metro areas. Additional benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
A hybrid model of work, with most client‑serving roles working in person 40‑60% of the time.
